Edgartown Katama 511

This was our 4th year renting this house. We've rented many other homes on the vineyard and chappy and this is by far the best. Beautiful, spacious, wonderfully equipped home, a real warm family home, not your ordinary rental. Yard, pool, tennis court all perfect and safe for all our kids and grands aged 2 to 15. The location cant be beat with access to Katama bay and easy biking to south beach, state beach, chappy beaches and town. A dream week!

This is our 4th year at this fabulous house and we will be back in 2024! Not only does this property have the many bedrooms and full bathrooms for large families, but it also has large gathering spaces that fit everyone (indoor & outdoor). We ate dinner on the expansive deck every night. We enjoyed the pool area (tables with umbrellas, lounge chairs) and tennis court every day. Practical things like multiple refrigerators, pool towels, bed linens & beach chairs make everything easier. There were multiple upgrades this summer - beautiful new siding, new lounge chairs at the pool and a resurfaced tennis court. The location is also perfect - easy access to South Beach & Edgartown. We loved every minute of our week!

Our extended family stayed for a week. The house was beyond equipped in every way, and especially for kids 18 months to 12 years. Everyone loved the pool and tennis court, and the location, a short bike ride to South Beach and town and a short walk to gorgeous Katama Bay (Swimming Place Point). Having so much comfortable space for everyone was a godsend. It's the clear winner out of many prior vacation stays on the island. We hope to return next season.

This is the fifth year that we have stayed at this house, and we couldn't ask for anything more for our annual family reunion vacation! We don't feel crowded at all - the many bedrooms and bathrooms, and the three different living spaces, give significant privacy - but there are also wonderful places for us to gather as a group for bbqs, dinners, board games, and more. It is wonderful to have a private pool and tennis court, and the backyard is the perfect place for children of all ages to play and relax. We also appreciate that linens and towels are included and that the kitchen is well stocked with anything we would need to cook for a large group. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!

As educators, 3 of us took an adventure week with 18 8/9th graders to MV. For many of these students, this was a first trip trip out of state, a first ferry ride, and a new freedom to grocery shop for their own meals. This house was PERFECTLY laid out for the experiential learning week we had designed for them. The rooms were spacious & restrooms were clean & numerous! The pool in the backyard and tennis court were utilized to the max and provided a ?home? for us all. We had the great fortune of connecting with a former student, now realator, on MV who enriched our experience by giving us suggestions on community service projects, team-building activities/ ropes course by the fabulous, Sterling Bishop who was so supportive & funny with our students and great dining options. Winston?s was a favorite for jamaican food! The kids loved Kayaking with Island Spirit -Chick & Liam werefantastic with those who had never kayaked before! We had 2 different beaches within walking distance which provided great adventures and spring walks during the day & night. Thank you Thayer Whipple, for which we are eternally grateful for your dedication to our group, as our realtor & liaison to an incredible, safe & fun week!
