A beautiful bungalow, fully renovated to incorporate both the history and the modern, luxurious finishes. Entering into the house, the living room unfolds before you -- a soft, neutral pallet with a mid-century modern feel. The expansive living room opens to a dining area with seating for 10 with a bar, and further yet to a stunning gourmet kitchen with cathedral ceilings, herringbone floors, high-end appliances, large center island and custom breakfast nook. A den sits just off of the front entry with a plush sectional sofa, large flat-screen television and walls in a deep slate gray -- exuding a touch of moody sophistication to an otherwise neutral design. The first-floor bedroom is down the hall with a king bed and hall bath with shower. Bedrooms Two and Three are on the second floor: Bedroom Two with queen bed, hall bath with shower and soaking tub, and Bedroom Three, undoubtedly the largest of all with sitting area, television and en suite bath. Bedroom 4 is in the Guest House, roughly 50-feet from the main house, with a small kitchen, dining area, living room with television, bedroom and bath. A large deck is just off of the kitchen of the main house with teak table and chairs, perfect for dinners or afternoons post-beach. I recently stayed at this house for a week with my family of 3 and my sister's family of 5 and we loved it! We have been coming to Martha's Vineyard regularly for two decades and we all agreed this was one of our favorite houses to date. We all fit comfortably, due in part to the spacious cottage in the backyard, the large master suite and smart placement of beds throughout the rooms, the ample bathrooms and showers, and the large amounts of common space. The house was clean, well-maintained, and well-stocked. It has historical island charm with modern decor and amenities. We especially loved the huge, beautiful yard and the large deck in back, where we dined often. It is very serene back there. It is also in a great location - an easy walk into downtown Oak Bluffs (my nephews' favorite place for desserts!) and close to the Oak Bluffs shore with a great walking/running/bike path. We did not have any issues during our stay, but the one time we had a question (just regarding keys), the owner was incredibly responsive and nice. We would consider renting here again and I would highly recommend renting this property!
