There are a few different ways that you can reach Martha’s Vineyard from Boston. Year-round flights are provided by Cape Air to and from Boston’s Logan Airport, which is a convenient way to get to Martha’s Vineyard. If you’re looking to reach the island by ferry, the Steamship Authority provides year-round passenger and auto transportation. It’s the only ferry service that will transport cars to Martha’s Vineyard.

The trip takes around 40 minutes and reservations are needed for cars but passengers can take a transport with no reservation. The ferry service heads from Woods Hole on Cape Cod to Martha’s Vineyard.
