Sandpiper Rentals wants you to have fun, be creative, and share with us how you reuse your check-in bag.
Whether you find a great use for it on-island or off-island, take a snapshot and share with us. Tag your photos on Instagram with #tagthebagsp, post on Facebook and tag us in it, or email us a copy and we will post on your behalf. At the end of the summer, all the names will be entered into a drawing and one name will be pulled at random to win a fabulous Martha’s Vineyard Beach Blanket.
Enjoy your stay on Martha’s Vineyard and don’t forget to #tagthebagsp
Spring on the Island is almost as good as the Summer, just a little cooler, and a little less crowded. There are great activities to do on Martha’s Vineyard in the spring. The shoulder season of the year can be even better than summer sometimes. Not as many crowds and most of the restaurants and retail spots are opening. Mother Nature is reminding you that new life is coming through the buds of flowers. After all, it is our April showers that bring our May flowers.
The selections of places to enjoy a meal start to increase this time of year. While new staff is arriving constantly, many restaurants start to test out what items they are going to feature this upcoming season. It is a great time to try something new without the long wait times.
Most retail shops offer great early season specials or even discounts on what inventory they have leftover from last year. It’s always great to see what is going to be this seasons “New Color” and “Style.”
The greens are ready! There are several courses throughout the island and each one is unique. Mink Meadows in Vineyard Haven is a nine-hole course with an amazing view of the harbor at hole 8. Farm Neck in Oak Bluffs, is the “go to” course for many politicians and celebrities. They are an 18 hole course with a restaurant, cafe, and have great areas for hosting events. Tee times are easier to get this time of year, so come take a swing.
With the sun shining and just a hint of cool still in the air, beaches are great for spring walks, collecting shells, rocks, and the occasional sea glass. If you catch a day that is warmer than others you could even throw out a blanket, relax with a great book, or grab the kids and make a tall sandcastle.
Many farms, markets, and farm stands start to open in Spring. Bringing out their in-season produce, eggs, baked goods, and meals.
As you can see spring is also a great time to visit Martha’s Vineyard. We hope to see you here soon!
