- Martha’s Vineyard Tours and Excursions: This Vineyard tour company has three types of tours to choose from. There is a one hour tour which takes you around the “down island” towns of Vineyard Haven, Oak Bluffs, and Edgartown. You’ll get some insight into the Steamship Authority Ferries in the Vineyard Haven Harbor. Then see the iconic and beautiful gingerbread houses in Oaks Bluff and learn a bit more about these campground cottages. In Edgartown, you’ll gain some knowledge about the town’s whaling history, view lighthouses, and admire the whaling captains homes and picture perfect town features. The two-hour tour includes the above and adds on the towns of West Tisbury, Chilmark, and the fishing village of Menemsha. The third tour is a tour which takes you throughout the entire island, including getting a view of the clay cliffs of Aquinnah. You can also create a custom tour that includes shopping, a visit to the Island Alpaca Farm, cuisine, horseback riding, fishing or any number of other ideas.
- Martha’s Vineyard Tours and Transportation: There are a number of tours to choose from at Martha’s Vineyard Tours and Transportation. For an introduction to the island, try the one hour tour. You travel to Oak Bluffs to see the Victorian style gingerbread cottages and hear tales about the town’s history. Then you move on to Edgartown to see the picturesque whaling town and all of it’s homes and landmarks. The tow hour tour includes everything in the one hour tour and then extends to include West Tisbury and Chilmark. The Full Island tour takes you to all six towns on the island in three hours. This tour includes a special 30 minute stop at the clay cliffs of Aquinnah. Customizable tours are also available and can be tailored to your specific interests, whether it be beaches or Vineyard Glassworks. Also, ask about their Jaws tour.
- Martha’s Vineyard Sightseeing: Martha’s Vineyard Sightseeing has great Vineyard Tours. The tour visits four towns out of the six on the island. These towns are West Tisbury, Edgartown, Oak Bluffs and Vineyard Haven. There is a one and a half our stop in Edgartown for shopping. Your guide will point out the architectural points of interest and other facts about the towns you visit. Tours in the Summer leave at 9:00 am and 4:00 pm.
- Vineyard Fast Ferry: Climb aboard one of Vineyard Fast Ferry’s busses for a two and a half hour narrated journey through Martha’s Vineyard. You’ll enjoy the beautiful landscape and the unique history of the island as your tour progresses. This Vineyard tour takes you through all six towns and departs from Oak Bluffs. This is a very relaxing and informative tour.
