Darlene O’Neill started working with Sandpiper Rentals as a rental agent in 2010. Darlene came to Sandpiper Rentals, Inc. with a great deal of business experience and a wonderful working knowledge of Martha’s Vineyard. She previously owned and operated the Crocker House Inn located in Vineyard Haven from 1990-1999 and is glad to be back on island after ten years away. Darlene’s talents are multi-facetted with an education background in Health Education and Promotion. She stepped away from her hospitality career on the island to work in the health care field in the Boston area for ten years. Martha’s Vineyard is an island that is difficult to get out of your system and Darlene found herself yearning to come back to live and work here. She resides with her family in Edgartown with views of the Sengekontacket Pond and State Beach. Here, it is a quick commute to various interests in her life such as the YMCA, South Beach, Menemsha sunsets, Chilmark chocolates, the miles of bike paths for walking into town, Farm Neck Golf Club and numerous local restaurants for every type of fare.

 

Whether you are interested in visiting Martha’s Vineyard for a summer vacation or listing your property for vacation rentals, you will find Darlene to be extremely diligent and knowledgeable with the island and the process. She finds great satisfaction in matching each tenant to just the right rental home ensuring a memorable and smooth rental experience.

Anne  began her real estate career in 1995 when she first started working for Sandpiper Rentals under the tutelage of Sharon Purdy as a Sales Assistant. After five years Anne decided to make the switch to full-time rental agent in 2001. Always working towards bettering herself, and the company, Anne accepted the position of Rental Manager in January of 2008. With over 15 years of experience Anne purchased the company in 2011. Since then, Anne has expanded the business, representing over 500 homes on Martha’s Vineyard and hiring six full time agents. Anne epitomizes the values and philosophy of Sandpiper by providing outstanding service to both landlords and tenants alike.

Anne is a mother of two and strongly involved in many community efforts throughout the Island. Her interests include knitting, paddleboarding, skiing and much more.

Another year has come and gone for us here at Sandpiper Rentals. With it we saw a lot of positive change including meeting magnificent new people, expanding the staff to better serve our superb clientele, creating a new website, and updating our rental software.
